Most workshops are free. Some are hosted by schools or public agencies. If a listing specifies that tickets should be

NOTE: Registration does not include purchase of ONE-DAY MATH, but kits will available at the workshop for practice and purchase ($99 plus tax).
Registration DOES cover a one-year membership to CMSESMC, and full admission to all events on March 6, including a terrific keynote address (explaining Dark Matter and Dark Energy in the Universe), Breakfast, Lunch, Exhibit Tables with Freebies, and Door Prizes. Learn how to create appropriate hands-on activities using ONE-DAY MATH Quick & Easy Review Kit. Recommended for grades 3-12 and Adult/College, English Learners, New Teachers, Special Education (K-12)

__ FREE On Saturday, May 2, 2009, Eve Sutton taught two ONE-DAY MATH workshops at Parent University,
a free, district-wide event for all parents
of K-8 students attending schools in the Berryessa Union School District.
Location: Ruskin Elementary School.
Students received brochures to bring home to parents about this event.
__On Saturday, March 7, 2009,
Eve Sutton returned to teach two ONE-DAY MATH workshops (Geometry
vocabulary for young children, and key math skills for middle grades)
for the Council of Mathematics and Science Educators of San Mateo County (CMSESMC) Spring Conference.
We had a full day of activities and meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Keynote address by Steve Rasmussen
of Key Curriculum Press, THREE sessions of
Workshops--more than 50 choices!--of interest to those who teach math
and science at all grade levels, a variety of commercial and non-profit
exhibitors, and door prizes.
Location: Canada College in Redwood City (map and info came with registration)
Continuing Education Units: $25 for 1 unit (see details on registration form)

__On Thursday, March 20, 2008,
Eve Sutton was invited to speak at a CSEA Chapter meeting to demonstrate ONE-DAY
MATH and gather comments from Classified employees who have used the
the math kit to pass an exam, or to help them on the job, or to help
their own children with homework.

__On Saturday, March 1, 2008,
Eve Sutton taught a workshop using ONE-DAY MATH during the COUNCIL
OF MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE EDUCATORS OF SAN MATEO COUNTY (CMSESMC) MATH
AND
SCIENCE SPRING CONFERENCE, teaching participants how to implement some
ELD/ESL strategies suggested during the Keynote Address by Harold
Asturias, President of the California Mathematics Council (he addressed the topic of teaching mathematics to ELs effectively by discussing the
interplay between language and mathematics).
Topic: Session C-2 ONE-DAY MATH for Mixed Groups of EL and Mainstream Students: Hands-on
activities to provide effective math instruction to mixed groups of English Learners and mainstream students.
__On Tuesday, February 26, 2008, 3:45-5:45pm, Child Care Staff, ParaProfessionals, Tutors, and Substitute Teachers were
invited to a workshop hosted by the San Mateo County Office of Education.
Eve Sutton used ONE-DAY MATH to demonstrate math skills and
teaching methods across grade levels, for adults who work with students
of all ages. Certificate for attendance (2 hours) was given.
Topic:Hands-On Activities to Integrate Concepts
of Division, Fractions, Probability, and Ratio (1/4, "one of four," 1 to 4, 1:4).
Location:San Mateo County Office of Education, 101 TwinDolphin Drive, Redwood City. Directions: Hwy 101 to Holly exit, east
from exit ramp to Holly St, second left onto Twin Dolphin Drive, right
onto Lagoon Drive to enter the parking lot; ask at Information desk for
room number.
Cost: $15
