*ONE-DAY MATH builds basic skills before, during and after Military Service*
ASVAB, Active Duty, Veterans Upward Bound, College
ONE-DAY MATH teaches all the skills required to get a good score on the math section of the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, Coast Guard and National Guard recruiters all look for passing scores on the ASVAB as well as a High School Diploma. (If you plan to take the GED, see the GED page on this site.)
Once you are on active duty, use ONE-DAY MATH to help you with the practical math you might need for your duties, or to prepare you for the specialized math you'll learn in training as you advance. Unlike other preparation programs, ONE-DAY MATH does not require you to register or to disclose your personal information to recruiters.
The ONE-DAY MATH kit is lightweight and easily portable for use almost anywhere. Even when you do not have your kit with you, you can use small bits of study time by streaming or downloading some of the audio tracks using iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, or Amazon.
ONE-DAY MATH is used by some Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) and similar programs to prepare vets for the SAT or ACT, for the math placement test they will take on entering college, and for the basic math classes they might take when they first enroll. This transition can be difficult, but patience and persistence pay off. Some vets have been away from school for several years, and some have had injuries that make it difficult for them to remember what they learned. ONE-DAY MATH provides plenty of support for vets who need time to practice and repeat the lessons, while allowing others to move forward at a faster pace.
Attention is also given to the special needs of vets. For example, instead of getting dice in tiny ziplock bags, VUB orders are routinely shipped with dice in drawstring pouches, which are easier for physically limited vets to open and close. See the Learning Disabilities link to learn more.
Send email to Eve Sutton using the Contact link learn about VUB offices and colleges that are using ONE-DAY MATH, or if you want to discuss the plan to use ONE-DAY MATH in Army recruiting offices, Fresno Battalion, CA.
