*ONE-DAY MATH for Dyslexic
or Learning Disabled Children, Teens and Adults*
Color-Coded Cards, Clear Print, Simple Pictures,
Audio Instruction and Hands-On Activities help you learn by listening
and doing.
Learning differences come in many forms. Some people have good visual
perception, but have trouble with mental math. Some people need hands-on
activities to understand a concept that is usually taught with only
pencil and paper, or a calculator. Some people need someone to tell them
when to do the next step, or when to take a break. Don't let learning
differences keep you from contributing your talents to the world!
As an experienced teacher and tutor, Eve Sutton has designed
ONE-DAY MATH with special attention to the needs of every kind of
learner. You will hear cues like, "Now it's time to take a
break," or "Pause while you gather the supplies for the next
lesson. Come back when you are ready to continue."
Very
little writing is used on the Lesson Cards, only what you really need to
know. The Lesson Cards have space in the margins and between lines to
help you focus on the words, and to allow space for you to write your
notes. The words are clearly printed, with no distractions.
All the materials can be organized and stored in the 3-pocket carrier,
or you can put everything into a 3-ring binder. Staying organized is
part of the ONE-DAY MATH philosophy: Stay calm. Work neatly. Answer the
right question. You might click the iTunes link to listen to
some drills and short lesson see if you feel comfortable listening
to lessons on your own. If you plan to use the kit with a study partner
or tutor, consider ordering an extra set of lesson cards, one for each
of you.
