ONE-DAY MATH for
Medical/Health Care
Prepare for Calculating Dosages, Converting to
Metric Units, and other medical/health care tasks.
Whether you are training for a career, preparing for a license or certificate, refreshing your skills, or teaching others as a nurse, pharmacy technician, physician's assistant, or other medical/health care professional, basic math skills are essential. When you care for patients, calculating the correct dosages of
medication can be a life-or-death decision. ONE-DAY MATH teaches all the
basic skills required for entrance to most medical or health care
training programs, so you will be prepared to understand the specialized math
instruction taught in those classes.
An extra Medical/Health Care packet is being developed as an addition to the ONE-DAY MATH kit. Lessons will include How to Convert Pounds to Kilograms, How to Calculate Dosages, and Understanding Metric Measurements. For now, you
can ask to see a preview of those lessons by answering the survey
question when you order your math kit, explaining how you plan to use
the kit.
Boston Reed students and instructors should see the
special BOSTON REED page for specific
information on ONE-DAY MATH can be used by incoming students, current students, and instructors.
