*ONE-DAY MATH for
Educators*
Credential exams and NCLB tests, including
CSET, PRAXIS, CBEST, and ParaPro
School Administrators, Teachers, Educational Support Personnel (ESP) or Paraprofessionals
(aides, tutors, preschool or day care assistants): ONE-DAY MATH teaches the skills you need to pass ANY basic math test required for a school-related job the United States. This includes every test to demonstrate proficiency for No Child Left Behind (NCLB), such as credential exams, ParaPro and similar tests. ONE-DAY MATH was originally
developed for teachers taking Eve Sutton's CBEST Preparation seminars,
teachers who had impatient principals waiting for them to pass their
exam so they could be hired. Eve knew those principals and couldn't let
them down, even though the teachers had very little time to study––
sometimes, only one weekend––so she developed ONE-DAY MATH to bring the
pass rate up to nearly 100%.
Passing a test to get into a school job is only part of the picture;
educators need basic math while they are ON the job, for professional
responsibilities and and in working with students. That's why the kit
was expanded to provide a lesson on interpreting test scores (Stanines,
Quartiles, raw vs. scaled scores) and plenty of hands-on lessons that
teachers, substitute teachers, and paraprofessionals can use with
students in a variety of ways, even for tutoring in odd areas like lunch

We purchased two kits and four extra sets
of lesson cards so we could lend them out a week at a time to tutors and
aides who work with our ELD and Special Education students, and to
teachers or classroom aides who need to pass the basic skills tests
before they can teach. So far, the math kits have helped at least
